Basic Manifest Operations
Q: How do I know if a manifest is finalized?
A: If the manifest appears on the right-hand side in the manifest screen, it is final (all bills and data are complete).
Q: How do I find a Manifest?
A: Navigate to the appropriate voyage:
- Go to Docs tab
- Click Manifest tab
- View options:
- Left side: Latest manifest data
- Right side: Finalized manifests & correctors for customs purposes
Manifest Creation and Printing
Q: How do I print a manifest?
A: From the left side (latest manifest data):
- Choose manifest ports with checkmarks
- Click "printable view" link
- Print from browser using PDF printer
- Choose landscape format
- Save to hard-disk
Q: How do I finalize a Manifest?
A: To finalize a manifest:
- Click on the finalize link under the General column
- If cargo is going to United States or Canada, also finalize the Customs manifest
- Manifests will then appear in PDF on the right-hand side
Manifest Corrections and Updates
Q: When should I create a manifest corrector?
A: Create a corrector when changing these fields after manifest finalization:
- B/L number
- Shipper
- Consignee
- Notify Party
- Marks
- Description of Goods
- Weight or Measure
Q: How and when do I create a Manifest corrector?
A: When making changes to a B/L after manifest finalization:
- System will prompt: "Do you want to generate a manifest corrector?"
- Answer "Yes" if changing any key fields listed above
- A new PDF will appear on the Manifest Tab below the General Manifest PDF
- The new PDF shows the BL number and modified details
Notifications and Subscriptions
Q: How do I subscribe to Manifest notifications?
A: To set up manifest notifications:
- Click "Preferences" link at top of screen
- Click modify next to Subscriptions
- Tick "Manifest Notifications by Trade"
- Select desired trades (use CTRL key for multiple)
Additional requirement:
- Ensure your email is registered:
- Click your name in upper right
- Click Create next to Email
- Add email address
- Enter "Email" in Type field

Q: Which side of the manifest screen should I use for different purposes?
A: The manifest screen has two distinct sides:
Left side (manifest tab):
- Contains latest manifest data
- Not affected by finalize button
- Use for terminals and non-customs parties
- Print manifests from this side
Right side (manifest tab):
- Shows only finalized manifests & correctors
- Used for customs purposes
- Click PDF links to view documents
Q: What should I verify before relying on manifest data?
A: Always ensure that:
- The manifest is finalized before using the data
- All bills and associated data are complete
- Any correctors have been properly processed
- The appropriate side of the screen is being used for the intended purpose
