Aquila PQMS integrates seven core modules to manage shipbuilding and retrofit projects. These modules work together to maintain quality control, ensure clear communication, and create comprehensive project documentation.
The Dashboard provides real-time project monitoring and personal task management. It consolidates information from all other modules to display current project status and upcoming deadlines, helping users prioritize their daily activities.
Technical documentation flows through the Plan Approval module, which manages drawing reviews between owners, shipyards, and classification societies. This module's automated tracking ensures teams meet contractual response times while maintaining clear records of all comments and revisions.
Project timelines are controlled through the Schedule module, which tracks key events from contract signing through vessel delivery. This module coordinates with others to ensure all project activities align with planned milestones.
Quality assurance is maintained through three specialized modules:
- Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) manages machinery testing and documentation
- Non-Conformity Reporting (NCR) tracks quality issues through to resolution
- Inspection provides systematic planning and documentation of on-site inspections
The Documents & Final Drawings modules serve as the project's central repository, storing and organizing all technical documentation. Their structured system ensures teams can quickly access current versions while maintaining historical records.
All modules share common features that support project management:
- Configurable communication channels between project parties
- Automated timeline tracking
- Clear assignment of responsibilities
- Comprehensive audit trails
- Secure, role-based access control
The following pages describe each module in detail, including specific features, workflows, and best practices for implementation.
